Kambo supports the body in healing the emotional and physical self.

Kambo is a Peruvian treatment that comes from the skin secretions of the Phyllomedusa bicolor (giant leaf or monkey frog) native to the Amazonian basin. Kambo is known for its powerful purgative effects that support the body in eliminating toxins, physically and emotionally.

It allows us to get in touch with and gain an understanding of buried feelings and emotions, which may have been holding us back and creating disease in our bodies.

My personal experiences with Kambo have supported my body to bring healing to seasonal allergies, a weak immune system, depression, candida and codependency. Kambo works with the body on an individual level. Each person has different results with the treatment.

We have observed in many cases that Kambo helps the body detox which allows the body to strengthen the immune system and activate self-healing. It’s a natural antibiotic, antiviral and antifungal, so therefor it kills bacteria, viruses and fungi. It is anti-inflammatory which cleans the blood and can improve general well-being.

Studies show that the peptides in the Kambo can be very effective in dealing with a variety of conditions including allergies, skin diseases, asthma, rheumatism and joint disorders, chronic pain and infections, malaria, diabetes, hepatitis, epilepsy, depression, addiction, post chemotherapy, disease prevention and many more.

In the Amazon, tribesmen have used this medicine to clear themselves from “paneme” (bad luck – Negative energy). Kambo is a deep cleanser and after a treatment most people feel a strong optimism and clearness of mind. They may feel rejuvenated or recharged in strength and stamina. The ability to achieve tasks and goals is stronger.

Kambo is known for its wide range of traditional therapeutic applications, both medical and pyscho-spiritual. Although the initial treatment can be unpleasant, Kambo is a treatment that is widely sought out to support revitalization to the mind and body.

Peptides identified in Kambo trigger a variety of beneficial chemical reactions in the human body. Unlike many natural and pharmaceutical substances, Kambo has the ability to cross between the blood/brain barrier, permitting it to connect deep into the body to support healing to areas of the body that are usually difficult to reach.

Currently, nine peptides have been identified to perform specific functions in the body.  These peptides perform certain “hormone-like” tasks that offer healing to vital cellular processes. The potent effect of these peptides effect the gastrointestinal muscles, gastric and pancreatic secretions, blood circulation, and the stimulation of the adrenal cortex and pituitary gland.

The medicinal properties of Kambo are highly sought after, with over 70 Kambo patents lodged, mainly in the USA. This serves as a testament to incredible healing that Kambo offers.

Kambo treatments cover a wide range of healing for many ailments, illnesses and diseases due to the bioactive peptides and neuropeptides present in Kambo. More information regarding the specific peptides can be found at the bottom of this page.

It is important to be clear about the specific intention or desired results for the treatment. Right before the treatment, it is essential to drink 2 liters of water. The water helps aid the body in the process of purging and assists the body as it goes through the uncomfortable effects of the treatment.

Kambo can be administered to many different areas of the body. The targeted areas and the location of the treatment will be predetermined by the client and the practitioner to ensure a safe and effective treatment. Different skin types respond differently. Healing is different for every individual.

A thin vine, known as a tamshi is lit by a candle and blown out. The hot vine is touched against the skin quickly. This is known as a point. This opens up the top layer of skin and then the skin is removed exposing the point/burn with minimal discomfort. The amount of points burned vary from person to person. The marks fade over months of time, some are barely detectable with time

The secretion from the frog comes on a stick. The stick is sprayed with water to soften the secretion so that it can be rolled into little dots/balls. The dots of secretion are then added to each point/burn. Each point gets one very small dot of secretion. Within minutes, you will begin to feel the effects of the Kambo.

Each Kambo treatment is different. Personally, I have never had two alike. Typically, the discomfort lasts 10-15 minutes, but can vary. The person receiving the treatment may feel heat or pressure in the head and body. Followed by feelings of nausea. Once the body is ready to eliminate, the person may purge or need to use the bathroom.

Once the person has purged, the dot/ball is wiped off. The recovery time for each person also varies, usually lasting from 15-30 minutes. The recovery period is all about resting and allowing the body to relax back into a comfortable state.

Some people feel completely energized immediately after and others prefer a nap. Again, this will vary from treatment to treatment.

My mission is to share the healing and wisdom of Kambo to ensure that we preserve and share its “spirit and life”.

Each person who experiences this sacred medicine will have an individualized experience. A phone or in person consultation is needed before every session to ensure that the individuals needs and health are considered.

The major peptides identified in the Kambo secretion include:

Dermorphin and Deltorphin are potent opioid peptides 4000 times stronger than morphine and 40 times stronger than endogenic b-endorphines.

Phyllokinin and Phyllomedusin – both potent vessel dilators, increasing the permeability of the blood-brain barrier.

Phyllomedusin – strongly affects intestines, bowels and contributes to deep purging of toxins.

Caerulein and Sauvagine – cause a fall in blood pressure accompanied by tachycardia, stimulating the adrenal cortex and the pituitary gland and contributing to heightened sensory perception and increased stamina.  These peptides have a strong analgesic effect, enhance endurance, increase physical strength, and in general, enhance the capacity to manage physical pain and stress.  They possess medical uses as digestive aids, and have demonstrated analgesic effects for those with renal colic, pain due to peripheral vascular insufficiency and cancer.

Adenoregulin, discovered in the 1990’s by John Daly’s team at the National Institute of Health in the USA.  The dermaseptins group, including Adenoregulin, are part of a family of broad spectrum antimicrobial peptides involved in the defense of the naked skin of frogs against microbial invasion. These are the first vertebrate peptides to show lethal effects against the filamentous fungi responsible for severe opportunistic infections accompanying immunodeficiency syndrome and the use of immunosuppressive agents.  Adenoregulin works in the human body through the adenosine receptors, a fundamental component in all human fuel cells.  These receptors offer a target for treating depression, stroke seizures and cognitive loss ailments such as Alzheimer’s disease. Scientific research on the various peptides of Kambo are opening up new perspectives on how the human brain works.
